[807] S. Are there only two eyes (cakkhu)? P. Yes. S. But were not three eyes spoken of by the Blessed One: the fleshly eye (maṃsacakkhu), the divine eye (dibbacakkhu), and the eye of wisdom (paññācakkhu)? P. Yes. S. If three eyes were spoken of by the Blessed One — the fleshly eye, the divine eye, and the eye of wisdom — then indeed it should not be said, "There are only two eyes."
