[1581] For one who has passed away (cuta) from what is not the sense-sphere element (kāmadhātu), not the form element (rūpadhātu), and is being reborn into the sense-sphere element, only seven latent tendencies (anusayā) lie latent (anusenti); there are no latent tendencies that are broken (bhaṅgā).
For one who has passed away from what is not the sense-sphere element, not the form element, there is no such thing as rebirth (upapatti) in the form element. When he is reborn below, he is reborn only into the sense-sphere element; only seven latent tendencies lie latent; there are no latent tendencies that are broken.
