[226] For whom the form aggregate (rūpakkhandha) does not arise, does the feeling aggregate (vedanākkhandha) not cease for that one?
For those passing away from the four-constituent (catuvokāra) and the five-constituent (pañcavokāra) [existences], the form aggregate does not arise, but it is not the case that the feeling aggregate does not cease for them. For those being reborn in the formless [existence] (arūpa) and those passing away from the non-percipient beings (asaññasattā), the form aggregate does not arise and the feeling aggregate does not cease.
Or else, for whom the feeling aggregate does not cease, does the form aggregate not arise for that one?
For those being reborn in the five-constituent [existence] and those being reborn among the non-percipient beings, the feeling aggregate does not cease, but it is not the case that the form aggregate does not arise for them. For those being reborn in the formless [existence] and those passing away from the non-percipient beings, the feeling aggregate does not cease and the form aggregate does not arise.
