Cakkhudhātu

[805] Is the eye (cakkhu) the eye element (cakkhudhātu)? The divine eye (dibbacakkhu) and the wisdom eye (paññācakkhu) are eye, not the eye element; the eye element is both eye and eye element. Are elements (dhātū) the ear element (sotadhātu)? The ear element is both element and ear element; the remaining elements are elements, not the ear element. Is the eye the eye element? The divine eye and the wisdom eye are eye, not the eye element; the eye element is both eye and eye element. Are elements the nose element (ghānadhātu)? … Are elements the dhamma element (dhammadhātu)? The dhamma element is both element and dhamma element; the remaining elements are elements, not the dhamma element. As the designation (paṇṇatti) in the Āyatanayamaka, so too the designation in the Dhātuyamaka. The wheel (cakka) should be bound.
