[1237] For whom the femininity faculty (itthindriya) arose, will the masculinity faculty (purisindriya) arise for that one?
For those in their final existence (pacchimabhavika), those who, having been reborn in the form-sphere (rūpāvacara) or the formless-sphere (arūpāvacara), will attain final Nibbāna, and those women who, in that very same state, will manifest some number of existences and then attain final Nibbāna — for them the femininity faculty arose, but the masculinity faculty will not arise for them. For the others, the femininity faculty arose and the masculinity faculty will arise.
Or, for whom the masculinity faculty will arise, did the femininity faculty arise for that one?
Yes (āmantā).
