[474] Is what is not life (jīvita) not a faculty (indriya)? Setting aside life, the remaining faculties are not life but are faculties; setting aside life and the faculties, the rest are neither life nor faculties. Is what is not a faculty not the eye faculty (cakkhundriya)? Yes (āmantā). … Is what is not life not a faculty? Setting aside life, the remaining faculties are not life but are faculties; setting aside life and the faculties, the rest are neither life nor faculties. Is what is not a faculty not the perfect-knower faculty (aññātāvindriya)? Yes.
