[803] Where the masculinity faculty (purisindriya) has never arisen, has the joy faculty (somanassindriya) never arisen there?
In the form-sphere [plane] (rūpāvacara), there the masculinity faculty has never arisen, but it is not the case that there the joy faculty has never arisen. In the [plane of] non-percipient beings (asaññasatta) and in the formless [plane] (arūpa), there both the masculinity faculty has never arisen and the joy faculty has never arisen.
Or else, where the joy faculty has never arisen, has the masculinity faculty never arisen there?
