[906] For whomever, wherever, the nose faculty (ghānindriyaṃ) will arise, will the joy faculty (somanassindriyaṃ) arise for that one there?
Those possessed of a nose (saghānakā) who, having been reborn with equanimity (upekkhā), will attain final Nibbāna — for them the nose faculty will arise there, but for them the joy faculty will not arise there. As for the others, sense-sphere (kāmāvacara) beings — for them the nose faculty will arise there and the joy faculty will also arise.
Or, for whomever, wherever, the joy faculty will arise, will the nose faculty arise for that one there?
As for form-sphere (rūpāvacara) beings — for them the joy faculty will arise there, but for them the nose faculty will not arise there. As for sense-sphere beings — for them the joy faculty will arise there and the nose faculty will also arise.
