[133] Now at that time bhikkhus conferred the full ordination on one without a preceptor (anupajjhāyaka). They reported this matter to the Blessed One. "Bhikkhus, one without a preceptor is not to be given the full ordination. Whoever should so ordain: an offense of wrong-doing (dukkaṭa)."
Now at that time bhikkhus conferred the full ordination with the Saṅgha as preceptor (upajjhāya). They reported this matter to the Blessed One. "Bhikkhus, one is not to be given the full ordination with the Saṅgha as preceptor. Whoever should so ordain: an offense of wrong-doing."
Now at that time bhikkhus conferred the full ordination with a group (gaṇa) as preceptor. They reported this matter to the Blessed One. "Bhikkhus, one is not to be given the full ordination with a group as preceptor. Whoever should so ordain: an offense of wrong-doing."
Now at that time bhikkhus conferred the full ordination with a paṇḍaka as preceptor … they conferred the full ordination with one living in communion by theft (theyyasaṃvāsaka) as preceptor. They conferred the full ordination with one who had gone over to another sect (titthiyapakkantaka) as preceptor. They conferred the full ordination with an animal (tiracchānagata) as preceptor. They conferred the full ordination with a matricide (mātughātaka) as preceptor. They conferred the full ordination with a patricide (pitughātaka) as preceptor. They conferred the full ordination with a murderer of an arahant (arahantaghātaka) as preceptor. They conferred the full ordination with a violator of a bhikkhunī (bhikkhunīdūsaka) as preceptor. They conferred the full ordination with a schismatic (saṅghabhedaka) as preceptor. They conferred the full ordination with a shedder of [a Tathāgata's] blood (lohituppādaka) as preceptor. They conferred the full ordination with a hermaphrodite (ubhatobyañjanaka) as preceptor. They reported this matter to the Blessed One. "Bhikkhus, one is not to be given the full ordination with a paṇḍaka as preceptor; one is not to be given the full ordination with one living in communion by theft as preceptor; one is not to be given the full ordination with one who has gone over to another sect as preceptor; one is not to be given the full ordination with an animal as preceptor; one is not to be given the full ordination with a matricide as preceptor; one is not to be given the full ordination with a patricide as preceptor; one is not to be given the full ordination with a murderer of an arahant as preceptor; one is not to be given the full ordination with a violator of a bhikkhunī as preceptor; one is not to be given the full ordination with a schismatic as preceptor; one is not to be given the full ordination with a shedder of [a Tathāgata's] blood as preceptor; one is not to be given the full ordination with a hermaphrodite as preceptor.
