[187] Now at that time the group-of-six (chabbaggiyā) bhikkhus confessed an offence held in common (sabhāgā āpatti). They reported this matter to the Blessed One. "Bhikkhus, an offence held in common is not to be confessed; whoever should confess it commits an offence of wrong-doing (dukkaṭa)." Now at that time the group-of-six bhikkhus received the confession of an offence held in common. They reported this matter to the Blessed One. "Bhikkhus, an offence held in common is not to be received in confession; whoever should receive it commits an offence of wrong-doing."
