Abhidhammapiṭaka · Paṭṭhāna (1) · Vol. 40 · Section 1386

[1386] A phenomenon having result as its nature (vipākadhammadhamma) is a condition for a phenomenon having result as its nature by kamma condition (kamma-paccaya): volition (cetanā) that is a phenomenon having result as its nature [is a condition] for the associated aggregates (khandha). A phenomenon having result as its nature is a condition for a result phenomenon (vipāka) by kamma condition — asynchronous (nānākhaṇika): volition that is a phenomenon having result as its nature is a condition for the resultant aggregates by kamma condition. A phenomenon having result as its nature is a condition for a phenomenon that is neither a result nor one having result as its nature (nevavipākanavipākadhammadhamma) by kamma condition — conascent (sahajāta), asynchronous. Conascent: volition that is a phenomenon having result as its nature [is a condition] for mind-originated forms (cittasamuṭṭhānarūpa). Asynchronous: volition that is a phenomenon having result as its nature [is a condition] for forms born of kamma performed (kaṭattārūpa). A phenomenon having result as its nature [is a condition] for both a result phenomenon and a phenomenon that is neither a result nor one having result as its nature — asynchronous: volition that is a phenomenon having result as its nature is a condition for the resultant aggregates and for forms born of kamma performed by kamma condition. A phenomenon having result as its nature is a condition for both a phenomenon having result as its nature and a phenomenon that is neither a result nor one having result as its nature by kamma condition: volition that is a phenomenon having result as its nature is a condition for the associated aggregates and for mind-originated forms by kamma condition.
