[1519] A phenomenon (dhamma) that is clung to and subject to clinging (upādinnupādāniya) and a phenomenon that is not clung to but subject to clinging (anupādinnupādāniya) are a condition, by dependence condition (nissaya-paccaya), for a phenomenon that is not clung to but subject to clinging. Aggregates (khandhā) that are clung to and subject to clinging, and the primary elements (mahābhūtā), are a condition, by dependence condition, for forms originated by mind (cittasamuṭṭhāna-rūpa). One aggregate that is not clung to but subject to clinging, and the base (vatthu), are a condition, by dependence condition, for three aggregates. Two aggregates, and the base, are a condition, by dependence condition, for two aggregates.
