[1761] A phenomenon (dhamma) that is undefiled but subject to defilement and a phenomenon that is undefiled and not subject to defilement are a condition for a phenomenon that is undefiled but subject to defilement by way of conascence (sahajāta), postnascence (pacchājāta), nutriment (āhāra), and faculty (indriya).
