[249] In dependence on a wholesome phenomenon (kusala dhamma) and an indeterminate phenomenon (abyākata dhamma), a wholesome phenomenon arises by root condition (hetu-paccaya): in dependence on one wholesome aggregate (khandha) and the base (vatthu), three aggregates arise; in dependence on three aggregates and the base, one aggregate arises; in dependence on two aggregates and the base, two aggregates arise. In dependence on a wholesome phenomenon and an indeterminate phenomenon, an indeterminate phenomenon arises by root condition: in dependence on the wholesome aggregates and the primary elements (mahābhūta), mind-originated form (cittasamuṭṭhāna rūpa) arises. In dependence on a wholesome phenomenon and an indeterminate phenomenon, a wholesome phenomenon and an indeterminate phenomenon arise by root condition: in dependence on one wholesome aggregate and the base, three aggregates arise; in dependence on three aggregates and the base, one aggregate arises; in dependence on two aggregates and the base, two aggregates arise; in dependence on the wholesome aggregates and the primary elements, mind-originated form arises.
