[1777] Dependent on a phenomenon (dhamma) with path as root (maggahetuka), there arises a phenomenon with path as root, not by predominance condition (na-adhipati-paccaya): dependent on the aggregates (khandhā) with path as root, there arises the predominance (adhipati) with path as root. Dependent on a phenomenon with path as root, there arises a phenomenon with path as predominance (maggādhipati), not by predominance condition: dependent on the aggregates with path as root, there arises the predominance with path as predominance. Dependent on a phenomenon with path as root, there arise both a phenomenon with path as root and a phenomenon with path as predominance, not by predominance condition: dependent on the aggregates with path as root, there arises the predominance that is both with path as root and with path as predominance.
