[1799] A phenomenon (dhamma) with the path as root (maggahetuka) is a condition, by object condition (ārammaṇa-paccaya), for a phenomenon with the path as object (maggārammaṇa).
The noble ones (ariyā), having emerged from the path, review the path. By the knowledge of others' minds (cetopariyañāṇa) they know the mind (citta) of one endowed with a mind with the path as root.
Aggregates (khandhā) with the path as root are a condition, by object condition, for the knowledge of others' minds, for the knowledge of the recollection of past lives (pubbenivāsānussatiñāṇa), for the knowledge of the future (anāgataṃsañāṇa), and for adverting (āvajjana).
