Atītāraṁmaṇattika

[1991] A phenomenon with a past object (atītārammaṇo dhammo) is a condition for a phenomenon with a present object (paccuppannārammaṇo dhammo) by way of immediacy condition (anantara-paccaya). The death consciousness (cuti-citta) with a past object is a condition for the rebirth-linking consciousness (paṭisandhi-citta) with a present object by way of immediacy condition. The life-continuum (bhavaṅga) with a past object is a condition for the adverting (āvajjana) with a present object by way of immediacy condition.
