Abhidhammapiṭaka · Paṭṭhāna (2) · Vol. 41 · Section 2006

[2006] A phenomenon (dhamma) with a present object is a condition for a phenomenon with a future object by decisive-support condition (upanissaya-paccaya): object decisive-support (ārammaṇūpanissaya), proximity decisive-support (anantarūpanissaya), natural decisive-support (pakatūpanissaya). Natural decisive-support: contemplation of impermanence (aniccānupassanā), contemplation of suffering (dukkhānupassanā), and contemplation of not-self (anattānupassanā) with a present object are a condition for contemplation of impermanence, contemplation of suffering, and contemplation of not-self with a future object by decisive-support condition.
