[359] A phenomenon (dhamma) with thought-conception and discursive thought (savitakka-savicāra) is a condition, by faculty condition (indriya-paccaya), for a phenomenon without thought-conception, with discursive thought only (avitakka-vicāramatta). The faculties (indriya) with thought-conception and discursive thought are a condition, by faculty condition, for thought-conception (vitakka). At the moment of rebirth-linking (paṭisandhi) … The seven questions rooted in [the phenomenon] with thought-conception and discursive thought should be analyzed according to this method.
