Abhidhammapiṭaka · Paṭṭhāna (2) · Vol. 41 · Section 425

[425] A phenomenon with thought-conception and discursive thought (savitakka-savicāra dhamma) is a condition for a phenomenon with thought-conception and discursive thought by absence condition (natthi-paccaya); it is a condition by disappearance condition (vigata-paccaya). The absence condition and the disappearance condition are similar to the proximity [condition] (anantara). The non-disappearance [condition] (avigata) is similar to the presence [condition] (atthi).
