[494] Phenomena (dhammā) accompanied by rapture and accompanied by pleasure are a condition for a phenomenon accompanied by rapture … for a phenomenon accompanied by pleasure … for a phenomenon accompanied by equanimity by way of object condition (ārammaṇa-paccaya): having given a gift (dāna), undertaken virtue (sīla), and performed the uposatha observance (uposathakamma) with a mind (citta) accompanied by rapture and accompanied by pleasure, one contemplates with insight, with a mind accompanied by equanimity, the aggregates (khandhā) accompanied by rapture and accompanied by pleasure as impermanent, as suffering (dukkha), as not-self; one relishes and delights in them; with that as object, lust (rāga) accompanied by equanimity arises; view (diṭṭhi) … doubt … restlessness arises. By the knowledge encompassing others' minds (cetopariyañāṇa) one knows the mind of one endowed with a mind accompanied by rapture and accompanied by pleasure. Aggregates accompanied by rapture and accompanied by pleasure are a condition, by way of object condition, for the knowledge encompassing others' minds, for the knowledge of the recollection of past abodes (pubbenivāsānussati-ñāṇa), for the knowledge of faring according to kamma (yathākammūpaga-ñāṇa), for the knowledge of the future (anāgataṃsa-ñāṇa), and for adverting (āvajjanā). With aggregates accompanied by rapture and accompanied by pleasure as object, aggregates accompanied by equanimity arise.
