[575] With the root condition (hetu-paccaya): in the not-object condition (na-ārammaṇa), ten … in the not-predominance (na-adhipati), ten; in the not-proximity (na-anantara), the not-contiguity (na-samanantara), the not-decisive-support (na-upanissaya), the not-prenascence (na-purejāta), the not-postnascence (na-pacchājāta), the not-repetition (na-āsevana), the not-kamma (na-kamma), the not-result (na-vipāka), the not-nutriment (na-āhāra), the not-faculty (na-indriya), the not-jhāna (na-jhāna), the not-path (na-magga), the not-dissociation (na-vippayutta), the not-absence (no-natthi), and the not-disappearance (no-vigata) conditions — in all cases, ten.
The positive-negative (anuloma-paccanīya) should be counted by one going over it point by point.
