[657] A phenomenon (dhamma) to be abandoned by seeing (dassanena pahātabba), conjoined (saṃsaṭṭha) with a phenomenon to be abandoned by seeing, arises not by predominance condition (na-adhipati-paccaya), not by prenascence condition (na-purejāta-paccaya), not by postnascence condition (na-pacchājāta-paccaya), not by repetition condition (na-āsevana-paccaya), not by kamma condition (na-kamma-paccaya), not by kamma-result condition (na-vipāka-paccaya). Neither by seeing nor by development (neva dassanena na bhāvanāya) … not by absorption condition (na-jhāna-paccaya): the fivefold consciousness (pañcaviññāṇa). … not by path condition (na-magga-paccaya): that which is rootless (ahetuka). … A phenomenon to be abandoned neither by seeing nor by development … not by dissociation condition (na-vippayutta-paccaya): three.
