[772] Dependent on a phenomenon (dhamma) with roots to be abandoned by seeing (dassanena-pahātabba-hetuka), a phenomenon with roots to be abandoned by seeing arises, by object condition (ārammaṇa-paccaya): dependent on one aggregate (khandha) with roots to be abandoned by seeing, three aggregates [arise]; dependent on two aggregates, two aggregates.
Dependent on a phenomenon with roots to be abandoned by seeing, a phenomenon with roots to be abandoned neither by seeing nor by development (neva-dassanena-na-bhāvanāya-pahātabba-hetuka) arises, by object condition: dependent on the aggregates accompanied by doubt (vicikicchā), the delusion (moha) accompanied by doubt [arises].
