[262] Conditioned by a material phenomenon (rūpī dhamma), an immaterial phenomenon (arūpī dhamma) arises by object condition (ārammaṇa-paccaya): conditioned by the eye base (cakkhāyatana), eye-consciousness (cakkhu-viññāṇa) [arises]; conditioned by the body base (kāyāyatana), body-consciousness [arises]; conditioned by the base (vatthu), the immaterial aggregates (arūpino khandhā) [arise]; [at] rebirth-linking (paṭisandhi). Conditioned by an immaterial phenomenon, an immaterial phenomenon arises by object condition: [conditioned by] one immaterial aggregate … two aggregates … [at] rebirth-linking. Conditioned by a material phenomenon and an immaterial phenomenon, an immaterial phenomenon arises by object condition: conditioned by one aggregate accompanied by eye-consciousness and by the eye base, three aggregates [arise]; two aggregates … accompanied by body-consciousness … ; conditioned by one immaterial aggregate and by the base, three aggregates [arise]; two aggregates … .
