[340] Conjoined with a phenomenon (dhamma) that is a taint (āsava), a phenomenon that is a taint arises by root condition (hetu-paccaya): conjoined with the taint of sensual desire (kāmāsava), the taint of views (diṭṭhāsava) and the taint of ignorance (avijjāsava) [arise].
