Abhidhammapiṭaka · Paṭṭhāna (4) · Vol. 43 · Section 207

[207] A phenomenon co-existent with mind (cittasahabhū dhamma) is a condition for a phenomenon co-existent with mind by way of root condition (hetu-paccaya): roots (hetū) that are co-existent with mind are a condition for the associated aggregates (sampayuttakā khandhā) and for mind-originated forms (cittasamuṭṭhāna-rūpa) that are co-existent with mind by way of root condition. At the moment of rebirth-linking (paṭisandhikkhaṇa) … A phenomenon co-existent with mind is a condition for a phenomenon not co-existent with mind (no-cittasahabhū dhamma) by way of root condition: roots that are co-existent with mind are a condition for mind (citta) and for mind-originated forms that are not co-existent with mind by way of root condition. At the moment of rebirth-linking, roots that are co-existent with mind are a condition for mind and for forms produced by kamma (kaṭattā-rūpa) by way of root condition. A phenomenon co-existent with mind is a condition for a phenomenon co-existent with mind and a phenomenon not co-existent with mind by way of root condition: roots that are co-existent with mind are a condition for the associated aggregates, for mind, and for mind-originated forms that are co-existent with mind and that are not co-existent with mind by way of root condition.
