[707] Dependent on a phenomenon (dhamma) accompanied by equanimity (upekkhā), a phenomenon accompanied by equanimity arises by root condition (hetu-paccaya): dependent on one aggregate (khandha) accompanied by equanimity, two aggregates [arise]; [dependent on] two aggregates … rebirth-linking (paṭisandhi).
It is just like the savitakka dyad (savitakka-duka). In the Conditioned chapter (paccayavāra) the point of difference is [the word] "equanimity."
The nine questions (pañhā) should also be done — with rebirth-linking, with occurrence (pavatti), and with the base (vatthu).
