[95] Conjoined with a phenomenon (dhamma) that is a mental factor (cetasika), a phenomenon that is a mental factor arises due to root condition (hetu-paccaya): conjoined with one aggregate (khandha) that is a mental factor, two aggregates arise; conjoined with two aggregates … ; at rebirth-linking (paṭisandhi). Conjoined with a phenomenon that is a mental factor, a phenomenon that is not a mental factor arises due to root condition: conjoined with the aggregates that are mental factors, mind (citta) arises; at rebirth-linking. Conjoined with a phenomenon that is a mental factor, a phenomenon that is a mental factor and a phenomenon that is not a mental factor arise due to root condition: conjoined with one aggregate that is a mental factor, two aggregates and mind arise; conjoined with two aggregates … ; at rebirth-linking.
