[1078] In the root condition (hetu-paccaya), one [occasion (vāra)];
in the object condition (ārammaṇa-paccaya), two;
in the predominance condition (adhipati-paccaya), two;
in the proximity condition (anantara-paccaya), one.
A with-condition (sappaccaya) indeterminate (abyākata) phenomenon (dhamma) is a condition for a with-condition indeterminate phenomenon by decisive-support condition (upanissaya-paccaya).
A without-condition (appaccaya) indeterminate phenomenon is a condition for a with-condition indeterminate phenomenon by decisive-support condition: [there is only one kind, namely] object decisive-support (ārammaṇūpanissaya).
In the prenascence condition (purejāta-paccaya), one [occasion];
in the postnascence condition (pacchājāta-paccaya), one;
in all [conditions] (sabbattha), one;
in the non-disappearance condition (avigata-paccaya), one.
