[14] A wholesome phenomenon (dhamma) that is a root (hetu) is a condition (paccaya) for a wholesome phenomenon that is a root by immediacy condition (anantara-paccaya); is a condition by contiguity condition (samanantara-paccaya); is a condition by connascence condition (sahajāta-paccaya); is a condition by mutuality condition (aññamañña-paccaya); is a condition by dependence condition (nissaya-paccaya).
