In the nutriment condition (āhāra-paccaya), nine: [in the answers] with the mind-originated (cittasamuṭṭhāna) [phenomenon] as root, [as condition] for the not-mind-originated, edible nutriment (kabaḷīkāra āhāra) should be supplied; [with] the not-mind-originated for the mind-originated, edible nutriment [should be supplied]; in the middle combination (ghaṭanā), edible nutriment [should be supplied].
