[1588] In dependence on a wholesome phenomenon (kusala dhamma) that is dissociated from clinging (upādāna-vippayutta) and subject to clinging (upādāniya), a wholesome phenomenon that is dissociated from clinging and subject to clinging arises by root condition (hetu-paccaya).
In dependence on a wholesome phenomenon that is dissociated from clinging and not subject to clinging (anupādāniya), a wholesome phenomenon that is dissociated from clinging and not subject to clinging arises by root condition.
