[163] Dependent on a phenomenon (dhamma) that is a root (hetu) and neither a result nor productive of results (nevavipākanavipākadhammadhamma), a phenomenon that is a root and neither a result nor productive of results arises by root condition (hetu-paccaya): three. Dependent on a phenomenon that is a non-root (na-hetu) and neither a result nor productive of results, a phenomenon that is a non-root and neither a result nor productive of results arises by root condition: three. Dependent on a phenomenon that is a root and neither a result nor productive of results and on a phenomenon that is a non-root and neither a result nor productive of results, a phenomenon that is a root and neither a result nor productive of results arises by root condition: three.
