[176] A phenomenon that is a root (hetu) and is neither a result nor productive of results (nevavipākanavipākadhammadhamma) is a condition for a phenomenon that is not a root (na-hetu) and is neither a result nor productive of results, by postnascence condition (pacchājāta-paccaya).
