[184] Dependent on a phenomenon (dhamma) that is a root (hetu) and is clung-to and subject to clinging (upādinnupādāniya), a phenomenon that is a root and is clung-to and subject to clinging arises through root condition (hetu-paccaya): three. Dependent on a phenomenon that is not a root and is clung-to and subject to clinging, a phenomenon that is not a root and is clung-to and subject to clinging arises through root condition: three. Dependent on a phenomenon that is a root and is clung-to and subject to clinging and on a phenomenon that is not a root and is clung-to and subject to clinging, a phenomenon that is a root and is clung-to and subject to clinging arises through root condition: three.
