[223] A phenomenon (dhamma) that is a root (hetu), not clung to and not conducive to clinging (anupādinna-anupādāniya), is a condition for a phenomenon that is a root, not clung to and not conducive to clinging, by root condition (hetu-paccaya). (Three.)
