[297] A phenomenon (dhamma) that is a root (hetu) and is without thought-conception, with discursive thought only (avitakkavicāramatta), is a condition, by connascence condition (sahajāta-paccaya), for a phenomenon that is a root and is without thought-conception, with discursive thought only; it is a condition by decisive-support condition (upanissaya-paccaya).
