[427] A phenomenon (dhamma) that is a root (hetu) and has a root to be abandoned by development (bhāvanāya-pahātabbahetuka) is a condition, by way of object condition (ārammaṇa-paccaya), for a phenomenon that is a root and has a root to be abandoned by development. It is a condition by way of connascence condition (sahajāta-paccaya). It is a condition by way of decisive-support condition (upanissaya-paccaya).
