[724] Dependent on an unwholesome (akusala) phenomenon (dhamma) associated with painful feeling (dukkhāya vedanāya sampayutta), a not-unwholesome (na-akusala) phenomenon not associated with painful feeling (na-dukkhāya vedanāya sampayutta) arises by root condition (hetupaccayā). Dependent on an unwholesome phenomenon associated with painful feeling, a not-wholesome (na-kusala) phenomenon not associated with painful feeling arises by root condition. … Dependent on an unwholesome phenomenon associated with painful feeling, a not-wholesome phenomenon not associated with painful feeling and a not-unwholesome phenomenon not associated with painful feeling arise by root condition.
