[69] "Householders, there are these five benefits (ānisaṃsa) for a virtuous person through the accomplishment of virtue (sīlasampadā). What five? Here, householders, a virtuous person, accomplished in virtue, obtains a great mass of wealth on account of heedfulness (appamāda). This is the first benefit for a virtuous person through the accomplishment of virtue. Furthermore, householders, of a virtuous person, accomplished in virtue, a good report of fame spreads abroad. This is the second benefit for a virtuous person through the accomplishment of virtue. Furthermore, householders, a virtuous person, accomplished in virtue, whatever assembly he approaches — whether an assembly of khattiyas, an assembly of brahmins, an assembly of householders, or an assembly of ascetics — approaches it confident and unabashed. This is the third benefit for a virtuous person through the accomplishment of virtue. Furthermore, householders, a virtuous person, accomplished in virtue, dies unconfused. This is the fourth benefit for a virtuous person through the accomplishment of virtue. Furthermore, householders, a virtuous person, accomplished in virtue, with the breakup of the body, after death, is reborn in a good destination, a heavenly world. This is the fifth benefit for a virtuous person through the accomplishment of virtue. These, householders, are the five benefits for a virtuous person through the accomplishment of virtue."
