[130] Citta the householder heard: "Elder bhikkhus, it is said, have arrived at Macchikāsaṇḍa." Then Citta the householder approached the elder bhikkhus; having approached, he paid homage to the elder bhikkhus and sat down to one side. As Citta the householder sat to one side, the Venerable Sāriputta instructed, roused, inspired, and gladdened him with a talk on the Dhamma. Then Citta the householder, having been instructed, roused, inspired, and gladdened by the Venerable Sāriputta with a talk on the Dhamma, said this to the elder bhikkhus: "Bhante, may the elders consent to accept from me tomorrow a meal for newly arrived guests (āgantukabhatta)." Those elder bhikkhus consented by silence.
