[575] Bhikkhus, here again a bhikkhu commits multiple saṅghādisesa offences — measurable and also immeasurable … distinct and also mixed together. He requests the Saṅgha for a combined probation (samodhānaparivāsa) for those offences. The Saṅgha grants him a combined probation for those offences. While undergoing probation, he commits in the interval multiple saṅghādisesa offences — measurable, unconcealed … measurable, concealed … measurable, both concealed and unconcealed. He requests the Saṅgha for a sending back to the beginning (mūlāya paṭikassana) on account of the offences committed in the interval. The Saṅgha sends him back to the beginning on account of the offences committed in the interval by a legitimate act, irreversible, fit for its occasion; it grants a combined probation in accordance with the Dhamma; it grants penance (mānatta) in accordance with the Dhamma; it rehabilitates (abbheti) him in accordance with the Dhamma. That bhikkhu, bhikkhus, is purified of those offences.
