[615] Bhikkhus, there are these five grounds on which an act of further penalty (tassapāpiyasikā-kamma) is in accordance with the Dhamma: the bhikkhu is impure, and he is shameless, and he is subject to charges (sānuvāda), and the Saṅgha carries out the act of further penalty against him, in accordance with the Dhamma and by a Saṅgha in concord. These indeed, bhikkhus, are the five grounds on which an act of further penalty is in accordance with the Dhamma.
