[156] Now at that time the group-of-six bhikkhus (chabbaggiyā bhikkhū) had their grey hair pulled out. People criticized, complained, and spread it about: … "just like householders who enjoy sensual pleasures" … They reported this matter to the Blessed One. … "Bhikkhus, grey hair should not be caused to be pulled out; whoever should have it pulled out commits an offense of wrong-doing (dukkaṭa)."
