[5] Now at that time the group-of-six bhikkhus bathed with a wooden hand-shaped scrubber (gandhabbahatthaka). People complained, criticized, and spread it about: "… just like householders who enjoy sensual pleasures." Bhikkhus heard those people complaining, criticizing, and spreading it about … Then those bhikkhus reported this matter to the Blessed One. … "Bhikkhus, one should not bathe with a wooden hand-shaped scrubber. Whoever should bathe thus commits an offense of wrongdoing (dukkaṭa)."
