Khuddakavatthukkhandhaka

[6] Now at that time the group-of-six bhikkhus bathed rubbing themselves with a scrubbing-string of kuruvindaka-stone powder (kuruvindakasutti). People complained, criticized, and spread it about: … "just like householders who enjoy sensual pleasures" … They reported this matter to the Blessed One. … "Bhikkhus, one should not bathe with a scrubbing-string of kuruvindaka-stone powder. Whoever should so bathe commits an offense of wrong-doing (dukkaṭa)."
