ทูลถามถึงสิกขาบท

Vinayapiṭaka · Cūḷavagga (2) · Vol. 7 · Section 607

[607] Now at that time, bhikkhunīs bathed with powder (cuṇṇa). People complained, criticized, and spread it about, saying, "… just like women householders who enjoy sensual pleasures." They reported this matter to the Blessed One. "Bhikkhus, a bhikkhunī should not bathe with powder; whoever should so bathe commits an offence of wrong-doing (dukkaṭa). I allow, bhikkhus, rice-bran (kukkusa) and clay (mattikā)."
