[606] Now at that time bhikkhunīs relieved themselves in the privy (vaccakuṭī). The group-of-six bhikkhunīs caused a fetus to be aborted right there. They informed the Blessed One of this matter. "Bhikkhus, a bhikkhunī should not relieve herself in a privy; whoever should do so commits an offense of wrongdoing (dukkaṭa). I allow, bhikkhus, relieving oneself in a place that is open below and covered above."
