[162] Now at that time a certain bhikkhu was sick. Without a binding cloth (āyoga) he was not at ease. … They reported this matter to the Blessed One. … "Bhikkhus, I allow a binding cloth (āyoga)." Then it occurred to the bhikkhus: "How, indeed, is a binding cloth to be known?" They reported this matter to the Blessed One. … "Bhikkhus, I allow a loom (tantaka), a shuttle (vemaka), strings (vaṭa), weaving-rods (salākā), and all loom accessories (tantabhaṇḍaka)."
